RRB JE Exam details

RRB JE Exam 2022- The Railway Board releases the notification for RRB JE Exam recruitment. The RRB Junior Engineer 2022 notification is yet to be released by the board. The Railways Recruitment Board conducts the RRB Junior Engineer exam in order to recruit candidates with science and engineering backgrounds to fill in the various technical posts available in the Indian Railways.

RRB JE Eligibility

The candidates willing to write the RRB JE Exam 2021 must keep in mind the following RRB JE Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nationality / Citizenship: Candidates must be nationals of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  2. Age: Candidates must be between the age group of 18 years to 30 years.
  3. Education: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
  4. Medical Examination: Candidates should pass certain medical standards as prescribed by the RRB.

The relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories/communities is given in the table below. The RRB JE Age limit relaxation will be applied in accordance with the submission of requisite certificates.

RRB Exam Eligibility – Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have the following educational qualifications in order to satisfy the RRB JE eligibility. The candidates who do not have these qualifications cannot apply for the RRB JE.

Important information that candidates need to keep in mind are:

  • Candidates who are yet to get their degree are not eligible to apply
  • Candidates in their last semester cannot apply
  • Candidates can not apply for multiple RRB JE posts. Only a single post can be selected during the application process.

RRB JE Eligibility Criteria – Medical Fitness

Candidates to meet the Railway JE eligibility will have to pass requisite physical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that they are medically fit to carry out duties connected to the post opted by them.

RRB JE Exam Pattern

Candidates writing the RRB JE Exam need to keep the following stages of the RRB JE Exam Pattern in mind:

  1. CBT Stage – I
  2. CBT Stage – II
  3. Document Verification / Medical Examination

*Note: It is necessary that candidates pass both the first two stages in order to appear for the Document Verification/Medical Examination stage. Failing any one stage means that the candidate will not pass the RRB JE Recruitment process.

RRB JE Syllabus

The syllabus for CBT Stage – I are as follows:

Ans. No, the candidates appearing for the final year or awaiting the final result of the prescribed educational qualification do not fulfil RRB JE eligibility conditions. He/She must possess the required qualification before filling the RRB JE application.

Ans. There is no interview round in the RRB JE recruitment process. RRB JE official notification has no mention of Interview/personality test/group discussion or any such process.

Ans. Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3 rd marks for each wrong answer in the RRB JE CBT 2. The RRB JE CBT 2 is an objective type test having 150 questions to be solved in 120 minutes.
