UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022: UPPSC 2022 Notification has been released by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on its official website for the PCS exam. The UPPSC application link is active from 16 March to 16 April 2022. UPPSC PCS Age Limit
UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 :UPPCS Exam (Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services) age limit as per the latest notification released by the commission in 2022 is as:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Note: Age to be calculated as on 1st July 2021. They must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1981 and not later than July 1, 2000.
UPPSC Age Relaxation
UPPSC has provided age relaxation for various categories which are given below:

UPPSC has given certain prerequisites in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:
- Candidate must have a Domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
- A candidate claiming for the reservation of seat must produce the category certificate from the competent authority
- For women candidates, the caste/domicile certificate issued from the father’s side shall be considered valid
- Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the UPPSC PCS Exam shall be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial.
UPPSC PCS Number of Attempts
UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 : There is no criterion related to the number of attempts given in the official notification for the UPPSC PCS exam. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criterion can apply for the exam without worrying about the number of attempts.
UPPSC PCS Educational Qualification
As per the official notification, educational qualification for the UPPSC PCS Combined state and Upper subordinate services exam are as given:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification upto the last date for receipt of application from any recognized University.
Educational Qualification for the UPPSC PCS Assistant Conservator of Forest and Range Forest Officer exam:
A bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects like Zoology Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc. Detailed qualification is as given below

UPPSC Exam Pattern 2022
UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 : UPPSC Exam Pattern 2022 is notified by the exam conducting body which is the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) along with the notification. UPPSC Exam Pattern for Prelims
UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 : The first stage of the UPPSC exam is the UPPSC Prelims exam. This exam is conducted to screen the best candidates to appear for the Mains exam. UPPSC Prelims exam pattern shall have two papers, General Studies 1 and General Studies 2. Candidates are to appear in both papers for the purpose of evaluation.
- All the questions in the UPPSC Prelims exam shall be objective questions.
- The total mark for the UPPSC PCS Prelims is 400 marks.
- General Studies 2 Paper is qualifying in nature. There are 33% of marks are required to qualify for the exam.
- General Studies 1 Paper is considered for screening mains stage candidates. Its marks are required to get a hall ticket for the mains exam, from there onwards it does not play any role in determining the final merit of the candidate.
- Negative marking is applied to Preliminary Exam Papers 1 and 2. For every wrong answer, 33% of the marks allotted to the question shall be deducted. However, there is no negative marking for unattempted questions.

UPPSC Main Exam Pattern
UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 : UPPSC Mains exam is the 2nd stage of the UPPSC PCS selection process. Candidates who will qualify the Prelims exam shall be called to appear for the UPPSC Mains exam which is the most important exam. There shall be 8 papers as per the UPPSC Mains exam pattern.
- The nature of the UPPSC Main exam is Subjective Type.
- There shall be a Hindi paper and an essay writing paper.
- There shall be 2 optional papers for UPPSC PCS mains exam while there shall be 4 GS papers.

UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 : After the completion of the UPPSC PCS Prelims and Mains exam, the Commission shall call the selected candidates to appear for the UPPSC Interview/Personality Test. The candidates’ analytical abilities will be tested in this phase. Apart from this, the candidates’ general awareness, character, expression power/personality, intelligence and general suitability will also be tested. Candidates who do not appear for the UPPSC Interview shall be rejected from the merit list.
- The UPPSC Interview will consist of 100 Marks.
After completion of all phases, the final merit list will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in UPPSC PCS Mains and Interview.

UPPSC PCS Syllabus 2022
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission divides the UPPSC PCS Syllabus 2022 into three stages, Prelims, Mains and Interview. The Prelims syllabus consists of two objective papers while the Mains Syllabus of UPPSC PCS consists of eight papers that are descriptive papers. UPPSC Selection Process 2022
